There are many opportunites for children to be involved at St. Paul UMC. Here are a few examples.....
W.A.V.Y.

Youth
W.A.V.Y is our combined youth groups of Scottville UMC and St. Paul UMC. Our Youth are willing to help, achieving goals set by our great God, and Victorious in Christ! We meet from 4-6 PM at Scottville UMC, where we have games, snacks, WORSHIP, and a devotional. This year we have learned about the makeup of the Bible and its various authors and themes. We also took a group of students and adults on a mission trip to Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Young Disciple Time
During the 9:30 AM Sunday service Pastor Jon gives the kids a kid size sermon before they are dismissed for Sunday school. The kids all go up on the stage and sit to listen to what Pastor Jon has to say. After his short message they pray together and then are dismissed down to Sunday School.
Confirmation
We also have a combined Confirmation Class with Scottville UMC. Our program is desinged to be covered over 3 years (6th-8th grades). We meet once a month January-June. Students are welcome to join in at any point, we offer catch up days during the Summer each year. We will be using the Credo Confirmation curriculum from Cokesbury.
PreK to 5th Grade
There are many fun activities that we do for the littles at St. Paul UMC. Vacation Bible School takes place one week each summer, there is weekly Sunday school during the 9:30 AM service, plus fun Holiday parties! We try to have something for the littles each month at the church so they can learn to enjoy spending time with other believers!
